  • Farming Practices: Practicing biodynamic viticulture, focusing on sustainable and organic methods to enhance soil health and vine vitality.

    • Fermentation: Direct pressed and transferred to French and Eastern European oak barrels (28% new) for fermentation. No yeast was added; primary and malolactic fermentations occurred naturally in barrel.
    • Aging: The wine underwent élevage in oak barrels without lees stirring, then was racked clean to stainless steel for one month before bottling.
  • Alcohol Content: 13.2% by volume.

The 2023 Hirsch Estate Chardonnay exemplifies the unique terroir of the West Sonoma Coast, offering a harmonious balance of fruit, acidity, and minerality that reflects the meticulous care taken in both vineyard and winery practices.
