Vineyard Technical Specifications
-
Blend Composition: Approximately 40% Grenache, 32% Barbera, 15% Mourvèdre, and 13% Counoise.
-
Vineyards: Sourced from the Windmill Vineyard and Muller Vineyard, both located in the Dunnigan Hills and farmed organically.
-
Farming Practices: Grapes are grown specifically for rosé, with vines kept slightly more shaded to produce plump, juicy, thin-skinned grapes that are vibrant and refreshing.
-
Harvesting: Grapes are harvested very early, barely past veraison, to capture zesty brightness and maintain high-toned, crisp, and refreshing characteristics.
-
Winemaking: Whole-cluster pressed, settled in a cold tank for 24 hours, then fermented and aged “sur lees” in stainless steel barrels. Malolactic fermentation is prevented to preserve acidity.
-
Technical Details: pH 3.31; TA 6.7 g/L; Alcohol 11.5%.
This rosé is crafted with intention, resulting in a wine that is light as a feather, almost floating across the palate, with a beautiful clean finish.
