• Aromas: The nose presents a bouquet of raspberries, cherries, and plums, complemented by subtle hints of graphite and cassis. ​

• Palate: On the palate, the wine is juicy and approachable, with gentle tannins. With aeration, additional notes of rhubarb, sumac, and forest floor emerge, contributing to its complexity.

This Pinot Noir’s versatility makes it an excellent companion to a variety of dishes. It pairs particularly well with salmon and pork dishes, as well as smoked cheeses. ​

• Vineyard Sources:

  • 43% Hirsch Vineyards (Fort Ross-Seaview AVA)
  • 22% Hellenthal Vineyard (adjacent to Block 9 at Hirsch)​
  • 35% Charles Heintz Vineyard (Sonoma Coast)

• Viticulture: 93% of the vines are between 20-30 years old. The wine is inspired by the great village wines of Burgundy, emphasizing traditional varietal character and a sense of place.

• Winemaking: The grapes are hand-harvested, fermented in small open-top tanks, and aged in French oak barrels, with 32% being new oak. The alcohol content is 13.2%.
